Greg Skolnik, Owner, Director, and Master Technician, still guides the shop from its inception to the well-established and highly regarded service facility it is today. In November of 2004, Greg also received the coveted Accredited Automotive Management (A.A.M.) degree from the Automotive Management Institute and in March 2017, he was awarded the even-more-coveted title of Accredited Master Automotive Manager (A.M.A.M.) from AMI as well.
Greg and his wife Carol, have two grown sons. Their older son, Chris and his wife Mary, gave birth to Joshua in July of 2009. Their younger son, Aaron, gave them three beautiful grandchildren, Kayleigh in September of 1999, Nathan in August of 2003 and Olivia in April of 2008. “PopPop” and “Nana” continue to practice spoiling all four.
Greg is still an active Scout Leader for over 30 years with Boy Scout Troop and Venturing Crew 1083 in Rockville, Maryland and finally figured out how to tie all those knots! Greg also enjoys touring America on his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and still plays his drums for fun.
Aaron Skolnik, IT Consultant
While Aaron “officially” joined the Motor Works team full time in November 2014, he’s grown up with the company since the beginning. Son of owner Greg Skolnik, Aaron spent his summers doing oil changes and working in the Motor Works front office as a teenager. Since then, Aaron has provided IT support to Motor Works, developing many of the automated systems we use today. He specializes in process automation and efficiency, and is constantly working to make your experience at Motor Works quick, easy and valuable. Although Aaron still is overseeing our IT needs part-time, he now works with a small, high-tech firm contracting with NASA and others. A 1998 graduate of Salisbury University, Aaron has 3 children, Kayleigh, Nathan and Olivia, and lives in Germantown. During the fall, you’ll find Aaron on your local High School or Division III College Football Field officiating the game (He’s a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Chapter – Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials). He also enjoys working as a Stage Manager for various local theater groups insuring the show goes on without a hitch.
