This image is of the side of the cast-aluminum engine block that auditioned for the movie, "Alien"...you know, the part where the alien claws its way out of the guy's chest?

When the engine loses lubrication a connecting rod (hooks the piston to the crankshaft) may break and flail around inside causing this terminal result.

PS...this cast aluminum block is probably now recycled into siding on someone's  house in Des Moines... well it COULD be, couldn't it? That's a better thought than the soda can you're now drinking from! J
